A New File-Sharing Method and User Reliability Evaluation in P2P Networks

At the KEIO TECHNO-MALL held in December 2009, the Shigeno Laboratory presented an exhibition on a new file-sharing method and user reliability evaluation in P2P (Peer-to-Peer) networks. In contrast to the client-server model, P2P is a system where each node interacts with others on an equal footing. In other words, each computer, called a peer, can act as both a server and a client depending on the situation. Effective use of this system enables efficient data transmission, and it is gaining attention as a new infrastructure for content distribution.
