"Establishing Fine Bubble Science to Explore Theory and Application"

At the Terasaka Laboratory in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, we are working to establish fine bubble science to explore the theory and application of extremely fine bubbles, based on our knowledge of chemical engineering.

Fine bubbles, a new field, are created in a liquid using special generators.

These fine bubbles are divided into two types: “microbubbles,” which are bubbles with a diameter smaller than 100 micrometers, and “ultrafine bubbles,” which are bubbles with a diameter smaller than 1 micrometer.
