On Monday, April 7, 2025, the 2025 Kick-off Lecture was held at the Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC).

The Kick-off Lecture is held annually for new students beginning their university life and current students starting a new semester. By inviting distinguished individuals from various fields to give lectures, the event aims to help students learn the importance of spending their future student life meaningfully and to cultivate an attitude toward academic pursuits and an ability to accurately perceive social changes.

For the 2025 academic year, Ms. Rika Sueyoshi, Representative Director of the Ethical Association Japan, gave a lecture titled "The Ethical 'Yardstick' Needed for the Coming Era."

Addressing the students who will shape the future of society, Ms. Sueyoshi shared her personal experiences, discussing what inspired her to engage with ethical issues, the ethical mindset required for the coming era, and what actions can be taken to incorporate it into daily life.

During the Q&A session, many questions were raised by inspired students, such as, "How can we think about ethics to make it a personal matter?" and Ms. Sueyoshi responded with a passionate message.
