April 7, 2025
The "Sokan no Susume Scholarship" has been established and launched starting in the 2025 academic year.
This scholarship was created to more strongly promote "regional diversity," one of the aspects of diversity we advocate, with the aim of actively accepting outstanding students from all over Japan. It is intended for graduates of high schools outside the Tokyo metropolitan area (Tokyo and three neighboring prefectures) and is awarded to students who are admitted through AO Admissions with particularly outstanding results.
After the 2025 university undergraduate entrance ceremony on Tuesday, April 1, a social gathering was held with the scholarship recipients. We invited the executive members of the "SFC Mita-kai" (an alumni association for SFC graduates), who provide ongoing support, and the event was attended by Tomoki Kamo, Dean of the Faculty of Policy Management, and Tomohiro Ichinose, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies.
The scholarship recipients expressed their aspirations, stating that they want to encourage each other through friendly competition after enrolling and achieve results in their research and activities. Both deans and the SFC Mita-kai executive members also conveyed their hopes for the students' future success, and the venue was filled with a friendly atmosphere from beginning to end.
