Comment from Fumiya Sano

I am honored to have my work selected for the Artwork track at the "Machine Learning for Creativity and Design" workshop.

In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence has been remarkable. Amidst this, how will our perception of nature and the natural phenomena that surround us change? This work focuses on the folk myth that "seashells remember the sounds around them, and if you hold one to your ear, you can hear the sound of the ocean." I created a device that merges seashells with artificial intelligence. I explored what kind of soundscapes these shells could create and how they might affect our auditory memories if nature and computation were to merge, turning this tale from a legend into an actual phenomenon.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone in the laboratory and all those involved for their guidance on this work.
