From SFC to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games: SFC Students and Alumni to Compete

SFC students and alumni will compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, opening on July 23, 2021, and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, opening on August 24. SFC is cheering on all the athletes!

Women's Rugby: Waka Hara, 4th year, Faculty of Policy Management

Profile

Born in Niigata Prefecture in 2000. Enrolled in the Faculty of Policy Management at Keio University in 2018.

She became interested in rugby in junior high school and went on to Iwami Chisuikan High School (Shimane Prefecture), which was the best in Japan at the time, where she began playing. She also studied abroad for six months in New Zealand, the home of rugby, and was selected for the Japan national team in the summer of her third year of high school. After representing Japan at the 30th Summer Universiade in 2019 and performing well at Japan's largest women's sevens tournament in 2021, she was selected for the Japan women's national rugby sevens team.

Her position is wing.

Women's Football (Backup Member): Momoka Kinoshita, 1st year, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies

Profile

Born in Hokkaido in 2003. Enrolled in the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University in 2021.

She started playing football at the age of six and belonged to club teams throughout elementary, junior high, and high school.

She was called up to the U-16 Japan women's national team for the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship in Thailand, skipping an age group. She was then selected for the U-17 Japan women's national football team for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay, and in April 2021, she was selected for the Nadeshiko Japan (Japan women's national football team) for the first time.

Her position is midfielder.
