Professor Norichika Kanie of the Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance has been selected to a panel of 15 scientists who will draft the 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report, as announced by UN.

Professor Norichika Kanie of the Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance has been selected to a panel of 15 scientists who will draft the 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report, as announced by UN Secretary-General António Guterres. This independent group of scientists and their report will inform the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals. It aims to strengthen the science-policy interface and to serve as a strong evidence-based instrument to support policymakers in promoting poverty eradication and sustainable development.

Prof. Kanie's xSDG Laboratory, based at Keio's Shonan-Fujisawa Campus, aims to address and solve diverse social problems through the lens of the 17 SDGs and conduct broader solution-based research methods that go beyond academic research to formulate best practices for the SDGs.
