On November 27, 2018, the town of Higashikawa (Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido; Mayor: Ichiro Matsuoka), the town of Osaki (Soo-gun, Kagoshima; Mayor: Yasuhiro Higashi), and the Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University (Director: Hiroya Tanaka; responsible lab: Social Innovation Lab, representative: Masatoshi Tamamura; hereinafter "Keio Research Institute at SFC") will conclude an agreement on the research, development, and promotion of the "Recycling International Student Project to Nurture the Future of Japan and the World." On the same day, a signing ceremony for the agreement and a press conference will be held at Keio University's Mita Campus (Minato-ku, Tokyo).
Under this agreement, the parties will promote the creation of social systems and the development of human resources that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
