- Building a social system of "Human Resource Development x Social Issues x Business" that contributes to achieving the SDGs -

On Saturday, September 1, 2018, which is Disaster Prevention Day, the "Regional Revitalization x Disaster Relief Food Truck Project" will be launched at the initiative of four parties: the Social Innovation Lab at the Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University (Representative: Masatoshi Tamamura; hereinafter "Keio Research Institute at SFC"); TSUJI Culinary Institute (President: Yoshiki Tsuji); mellow, Inc. (CEO: Yasuyuki Kashiwaya; hereinafter "mellow"); and Kagoshima Shoko Shinkin Bank (President: Naohisa Inaba). In this project, in cooperation with municipalities, companies, and organizations across Japan, including Nagashima Town (Kagoshima Prefecture, Mayor: Ken Kawazoe), we will promote the creation of a social system that generates synergistic effects from "Human Resource Development x Social Issues x Business" from the perspective of "food," which has the power to connect diverse entities.

To mark the start of this project, a signing ceremony for the "Partnership Agreement on Research and Development for Regional Revitalization and Disaster Relief through Food" will be held by the four initiating parties on Friday, August 31, at the TSUJI Culinary Institute (Abeno-ku, Osaka). In conjunction with the signing ceremony, a press conference and a project briefing for municipalities, companies, and organizations will be held at the same venue, along with a food tasting demonstration by "Nagashima Tairiku Buri-uma Shokudo," a food truck (kitchen car) style pilot shop from Nagashima Town.

Additionally, around the second half of fiscal year 2018, as soon as preparations are complete, we plan to operate the "Regional Revitalization x Disaster Relief Food Trucks" in Osaka and Tokyo in conjunction with educational programs.
