Holding the 8th Data Business Creation Contest
~Digital Innovators Grand Prix 8 (DIG8)~
Under the theme "The Future of Bookstores," proposing "Neo Bookstores" for the internet age
that will create the future of reading culture

1. Purpose

This Data Business Creation Contest is a competition for students from high schools to graduate schools nationwide. Under the theme "The Future of Bookstores," participants will compete by proposing "Neo Bookstores" for the internet age that create the future of reading culture, using book sales data, open data, and more.

The Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University, will carry out the operation of this contest, including theme creation, judging, and awards, together with its business partner, CCC Marketing. Additionally, CCC Marketing will provide book sales data from "TSUTAYA" and "Tsutaya Books" for use in this contest. Please note that the data provided will be a portion of data that has been statistically processed so that no specific individuals can be identified.

CCC Marketing believes it is its corporate social responsibility to give back the T-Card data entrusted by customers to society and consumers, and is working to widely open up opportunities to interact with T-Card data. As part of this initiative, by providing data to this contest and having participants create businesses while engaging with the data, the company hopes this will lead to the creation and rediscovery of new value in data.
