An open campus event for high school students and prospective applicants interested in the Faculty of Policy Management, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care at Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) was held at SFC on Sunday, June 17.
On the day of the event, numerous activities were held, including greetings from the deans of both the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, as well as mock classes and sessions led by faculty members. It was a day to experience SFC, with other events such as an information session for parents by faculty, small-group mock foreign language classes, and GIGA Program classes conducted in English.
Furthermore, at the communication corner, presentations on university life, and research group exhibitions run by SFC students, it was impressive to see high school students listening intently to the students' stories and explanations and asking questions.
Some of the mock classes from this open campus will be available on the Experience SFC Online page. Please feel free to watch them.
At the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, events included an information session by the dean, mock classes, presentations by students on their overseas activities, and campus tours. In addition to consultation and exhibition corners, a hands-on corner featured a demonstration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using an AED. Furthermore, as this year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of nursing education at Keio University, various materials introducing the 100-year history of Keio Nursing were also on display.
Since the event was held on a Sunday this year, more high school students, prospective applicants, and their parents attended than in previous years, allowing them to experience SFC up close.
