The Consortium for Co-Creation of Drone Collaborative Society at the Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University, and the Flying Car Lab at the SDM Research Institute, Keio University, will jointly hold the "Air Mobility Symposium: The Coexistence of Drones and Flying Cars."
1 . Purpose
The Consortium for Co-Creation of Drone Collaborative Society has been developing educational, research, and social implementation activities with the vision of realizing a "drone-based society." Additionally, the Flying Car Lab, aiming to produce venture companies that can compete globally, has been conducting educational and research activities on the themes of transportation, business, and airframe system design for flying cars.
In Society 5.0, one of the basic guidelines of the government's science and technology policy, air mobility has the potential to bring about various innovations as a new transportation system. Various companies in Japan and abroad have already conducted demonstration experiments, and a roadmap for social implementation is beginning to emerge. To move forward with concrete industrialization, it is essential for various stakeholders to advance social consensus on matters such as safety, rule-making, and the development of social infrastructure.
This symposium will focus on the theme of air mobility, featuring speakers and panelists from industry, academia, and government to discuss topics such as long-term visions and trends both in Japan and internationally. As we move toward social implementation, we look forward to discussing these issues with all of you at the symposium.
