The Keio Research Institute at SFC has launched "S-face," a website that introduces its researchers to an international audience.
"S-face" introduces researchers from multiple perspectives through three different types of media as a series of articles: a website (English), videos (English), and a newsletter (English/Japanese).
Vol. 23 features Associate Professor Atsushi Aoyama of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies.
The brain, along with the universe, is an "ultimate mystery."
In recent years, technology for observing the inside of the brain has advanced dramatically. However, many mysteries of the human brain remain unsolved.
The key to solving these mysteries is an approach based on brain function measurement and the analysis of brain information obtained through such measurements.
Associate Professor Atsushi Aoyama aims to create new technologies and contribute to society by elucidating the mechanisms of the brain.
