The Power to Create the Future Toward Practical Educational Recipes and Network Building To be held at the Keio University SFC Open Research Forum 2017 (11/23)
The Global Fab Society Consortium at the Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University, will hold the session, "The Power to Create the Future: Toward Practical Educational Recipes and Network Building," at the Keio University SFC Open Research Forum 2017.
Educators who are already proposing and implementing educational content that utilizes technology, in collaboration with high schools, universities, and local communities, will speak about their results and challenges. We invite the press to cover this event.
1. Session Overview
Amid the growing demand for ICT utilization in education, the term "information" has come to have a more interdisciplinary meaning. With the spread of digital fabrication, it now encompasses not only the transmission of knowledge and know-how but also the datafication and internet connectivity of objects (IoT). This research group aims to propose and enhance educational content that utilizes technology through collaboration between high schools, universities, and local communities. In this session, we will invite educators who are already putting this into practice to share their motivations, as well as the results and challenges they have observed on the ground, and explore new possibilities for collaboration in "the future of education."
