The Keio Research Institute at SFC at Keio University has launched the "S-face" website to introduce its researchers to an international audience.
"S-face" introduces researchers from multiple perspectives as a series of articles through three different types of media: a website (in English), videos (in English), and a newsletter (in English/Japanese).
Vol. 22 features Associate Professor Masahiro Kotosaka of the Faculty of Policy Management.
Due to the acceleration of technological innovation driven by advancements in IT and intensified competition from globalization,
the role that business administration should play is becoming increasingly important.
However, while both are centered on the theme of "management," a significant gap exists between "business practice" and "business strategy as an academic discipline."
Drawing on his experience as an entrepreneur, management consultant, and researcher, Associate Professor Masahiro Kotosaka is striving to bridge the gap between "practice" and "research."
