Signing Ceremony Held for Partnership Agreement with Jinsekikogen Town, Hiroshima Prefecture

On Tuesday, August 1, a signing ceremony for a partnership agreement between SFC and Jinsekikogen Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, was held. Yasushi Kiyoki, Dean of the Graduate School of Media and Governance, and Yoshinori Irie, Mayor of Jinsekikogen Town, signed the "Partnership and Cooperation Agreement on Regional Revitalization."

This agreement aims to contribute to fostering human resources who will lead future society, the formation of a vibrant local community, and the promotion of jitsugaku (science). SFC, which has been engaged in pioneering research and development while being involved in the practice of regional revitalization across Japan, will cooperate under a nationwide and industry-government-academia collaboration to engage in research and development that will contribute to the regional revitalization of Jinsekikogen Town. Specifically, as the first phase of the collaborative project, the "High School Appeal Enhancement Plus Project for the Regional Revitalization of Jinsekikogen Town" is being considered, with the goal of revitalizing the region by "enhancing the appeal of high schools."

In addition, at SFC, graduate students and others will be appointed as "Regional Revitalization Researchers." They are scheduled to reside in Jinsekikogen Town to engage in research and development and conduct practical research activities.
