The 27th Tanabata Festival, a summer tradition at SFC, was held on Saturday, July 2. The day was very hot, reminiscent of midsummer, but the venue was bustling with many visitors from the morning.
There were many families, and long lines formed for the haunted house. At the festival stalls, such as shooting galleries and ring toss games, children's cheers could be heard, greatly enhancing the summer festival atmosphere. The SBC Center, established on campus last year, was also used for the first time during the Tanabata Festival, and events such as a handmade wind chime workshop were also bustling with activity.
The customary fireworks were also launched, and many people enjoyed the finale of the Tanabata Festival on the lawn around Gulliver Pond (Kamoike).
