The 26th Tanabata Festival, a summer tradition at SFC, was held on Saturday, July 4. Although the day was unfortunately overcast due to the rainy season and it began to rain in the afternoon, the venue was bustling with many visitors.

This year's theme was "Irodori" (Color), and true to its name, an unusually large number of events brought color to the campus. On the main stage, Minister Akira Amari, in charge of the Comprehensive Reform of Social Security and Tax, took the stage for an event to promote the system alongside "Maina-chan," the official My Number character.

Due to the rain, some events had their schedules or locations changed. However, activities like carrying a mikoshi (portable shrine) in collaboration with local community members proceeded as planned, greatly enlivening the Tanabata Festival, which this year also celebrated the 25th anniversary of SFC's opening.

The finale featured the traditional fireworks display, which lit up the rainy sky with large, blooming bursts of color.
