On the afternoon of Saturday, April 25, the annual kite flying event was held at the planned construction site for the Miraisozojuku (Institute for Designing the Future) on the Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC). A giant kite, as large as 4.5 tatami mats and made by student volunteers, was flown. Flying such a kite has become an annual spring event, conducted as part of the required "Policy Management" and "Environment and Information Studies" courses for first-year students of the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, with the cooperation of the local Endo district's "Tako no Kai" (Kite Association).

This year, a special version of the kite, newly created to commemorate SFC's 25th anniversary, was also prepared. Unfortunately, due to the cloudy sky, the flight was brief, but the magnificent flight of the giant kite with the character for "dream" (夢) and the 25th-anniversary kite was etched in the hearts of every participant. The two kites are now on display in the lobby of Building Alpha.
