The 25th Tanabata Festival, a summer tradition at SFC, was held on Saturday, July 5.

Despite the rain that continued from the morning, the event welcomed many visitors. In keeping with this year's theme of "Okurimono" (Gifts), various activities enhanced the seasonal atmosphere of Tanabata, including an initiative where people wrote down things they wanted to give to their loved ones on tanzaku strips and decorated bamboo branches with them, as well as a fair for children.

From evening into the night, the carrying of the mikoshi (portable shrine) and Bon odori dancing, in cooperation with members of the local community, created a lively scene. For the finale, the customary fireworks display colored the night sky after the rain had stopped.
