Professor Kenji Watanabe of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, commissioned by Kanagawa Prefecture, has developed a system (a checklist) to check for "mibyo" (pre-symptomatic disease). This system allows users to access the Mibyo Checklist on a computer or smartphone and answer questions about their physical condition and constitution to receive advice based on traditional Eastern medical sciences (Kampo). Kanagawa Prefecture has made it available on its website for the public to use in reviewing their lifestyles. In addition, as part of the "Project to Revitalize the Western Region of Kanagawa Prefecture," it will be utilized at restaurants, lodging facilities, and other locations.
