On Wednesday, April 3, starting at 7:00 p.m., a tree-planting ceremony in memory of Professor Emeritus Hiroshi Kato, the first Dean of the Faculty of Policy Management, was held at Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC).

The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including Vice-President Agawa, Dean Kokuryo of the Faculty of Policy Management, faculty and staff, local community members, and alumni.

Despite the poor ground conditions due to rain that had been falling since the previous day and continued until just before the event, a Keio-zakura cherry tree was planted following speeches by Dean Murai of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies and Dean Tokuda of the Graduate School of Media and Governance. April 3 was the birthday of Professor Emeritus Kato.

The Keio-zakura cherry tree has been planted in front of Building Alpha, before the "Honkan-mae" bus stop for Keio University.
