Global Governance and Regional Strategy(GR)

HIROSE, Yoko Professor, Program Chairperson

HIROSE, Yoko

The GR Program explores the drivers of global conflict and cooperation. By integrating policy practice with theoretical and analytical frameworks, we examine how evolving governance systems—at the global, regional, and national levels—can address today’s pressing challenges.

Rapid globalization, emerging economies, and digital innovation necessitate respecting a new global order. Meanwhile, governance at the national, local, and community levels also needs to be explored to meet specific regional realities.

Our mission is to examine this complex global environment through the practical integration of various academic disciplines, contributing fresh insights to society. To this end, the GR Program hosts a range of specialized projects in international relations, security, regional studies, and information and communication policy, fostering a vibrant, multilingual research environment for domestic and international students in English and Japanese.
