Keio University

Research Grants

At SFC, students have access to unique grant programs to support their learning and research.

These programs differ from scholarships in that they support students’ research. Each grant program has its own objectives which focus on specific research themes and methods. Students are encouraged to apply for the grant program that matches their research and goals.

Selection is based on the applicant’s research plan and budget proposal.

Students selected for the research grant are required to submit a research report and an expense report when they conclude their research. In addition, they may be asked to deliver a presentation on their research results at the joint presentation session.

At SFC, students can apply for and receive grants to support their research while they are undergraduates. This is unique to SFC, offering an opportunity unmatched not only across universities in Japan, but even within Keio University. These grant programs enable undergraduate students to take the lead in conducting their own research, reflecting the core educational principles of SFC.
