Why I Chose SFC and My Journey to University

I always took it for granted that I would go to university. I learned about SFC from a tutor at my Juku who I was close with. I wanted to finish the entrance exam process quickly, so when I found out SFC had AO Admissions, I decided to apply. At the time, I was interested in design, but I couldn't decide what I really wanted to do. I realized I get bored easily, so I became interested in SFC, where it seemed I could try my hand at many different things.

If I hadn't been accepted, I was planning to apply to an art university.

The only studying I did was for school tests. Instead, I took advantage of my position as a high school student to visit various places, talk with adults, and have them listen to me, trying to learn about the world. I had taken a leave of absence from school, so I had plenty of time. I don't think I would have been accepted without that period.

It was also a great experience to borrow books from my high school teachers and get their recommendations. During the entrance exam period, the teacher who always lent me books also helped me out.

The Connection Between My High School Studies and My Current Learning at SFC

Because I had studied abroad in India and dabbled in Hindi, I became interested in Arabic after enrolling in university. While I can't say my high school studies are directly related to what I'm learning now, the way of thinking I gained through my high school education has certainly made my current university studies more fruitful.

A Message for Prospective Students

Looking back on my time as a prospective student, I sometimes feel that I narrowed my options for university and my future because I didn't think deeply enough about the entrance exams. For those of you who are feeling uncertain, I believe that pushing yourself until the very end, rather than giving up early, will lead to a more fulfilling university life.

Nevertheless, thanks to coming to SFC, I have met people from backgrounds I had never encountered before, engaged in discussions, and been inspired to think about my own future. I am leading a very fulfilling university life.

I hope that your time preparing for exams becomes something that you can look back on and see as a shining moment.
