The primary aim of this study was to examine moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) levels in preschool children during indoor and outdoor free playing time and during preschool physical education (PE) classes. The secondary aim was to determine which types of PE lessons are the best for increasing the percentage of MVPA. Physical activity during free playing time and in lessons was objectively evaluated with a triaxial accelerometer in preschool boys and girls (n = 281). Minutes of physical activity were categorized into physical activity ratios (PAR). MVPA was defined as PAR ≥3.0. Time tables and PE lesson types were recorded using logs kept by class teachers. The percentage of MVPA in outdoor free playing time (38.9±16.3%) was significantly higher than that of indoor free playing time (12.6±10.1%, p<0.001). On the other hand, there was no significant difference between the percentage in MVPA in outdoor free playing time and the percentage in PE lessons (n=94: 38.0±19.4%vs. 34.9±15.8%, ns). After adjustment for gender, age, body height and weight and preschool, there were not significantly different the percentage of MVPA among contents of PE lessons. In conclusion, children engaged in almost 30~40% MVPA during outdoor free playing time or PE. The children also engaged MVPA during indoor free playing time.

WHOから5歳未満の子どもの身体活動等に関するガイドラインが示され、低年齢の時から身体活動を日常的に取り入れることが求められている。しかし、子どもの客観的な身体活動量に関する先行研究は、3歳児以上を対象としたものが中心であり、それより年齢の低い子どもを対象とした報告はまだ少ない。そこで、本研究では幼児期前期にあたる1歳児の身体活動量の現状を把握することを目的とした。東京都内の保育所に通う1歳児のうち自立歩行を獲得している11名を対象に平日5日間の保育中（9時～16時）の身体活動量をActigraph GT3X-BT Monitorを用いて測定した。その結果、平均歩数は6741±975歩/日であり、軽強度活動時間は75.4±10.9分/日、中・高強度活動時間は19.2±4.0分/日であった。保育室内やテラスでの活動を行った日よりも、散歩と公園での遊びを行った日の方が歩数および軽強度活動時間が多い傾向がみられた。一方、中・高強度活動では、いずれの日においても大きな差はみられず、保育室やテラスなどでも環境の工夫や保育者の関わりなどによって中・高強度活動時間の確保に繋がる可能性があることが示唆された。

【背景】諸外国の2～5歳を対象に、加速度計で評価した就学前施設における外遊び中の中高強度活動（MVPA）の割合は、6.7～43 %の範囲であった(Truelove et al. 2018）。一方、運動指導（physical education: PE）時については観察法に留まっている。【目的】日本の幼児の就学前施設内における屋外での自由遊びおよびPE時のMVPAの割合を明らかにすることを目的とした。さらに、どのような指導内容のPEにおいてMVPAの割合が高いのか検討した。【方法】男女幼児（n=282）を対象に、3 軸加速度計を用いて各時間帯のMVPAを評価した。【結果】屋外での自由遊びとPE時との間で、MVPAの割合に有意な差は見られなかった（n=94: 38.0±19.4% vs. 34.9±15.8%, ns）。また、性別、年齢、身長、体重および就学前施設を調整したところ、MVPAの割合について、異なる運動指導内容間に有意な差は見られなかった。【結論】就学前施設内における屋外での自由遊びと運動指導時の幼児のMVPAは約35%であった。今後、活動内容の詳細も含め、更なる研究が必要である。

ホッピングは、基礎的動作の中でも移動系の運動の一つとして子どもの遊びや日常活動の中でもよく見られる代表的な動作であり、そのパフォーマンスは幼児期に大きく変容するといわれている。動作の遂行には、自重を支える脚筋力ならびに動的なバランスを維持する能力が必要とされ、さらに前方への推進やバランス保持などには上下肢の動きも関与する。本研究では、ホッピング動作中の上下肢それぞれの動きに着目し、幼児のホッピング動作の発達的特性について検討した。4歳から6歳の男女児148名を対象に、各児の利き側（行いやすい側）および非利き側によるホッピングの２課題を行い、運動中の上肢、下肢それぞれの動きを先行研究（Roberton et al）の段階的評価基準に従って観察的な評価を行った。その結果、対象とした4歳から6歳の幼児において、ホッピング動作は年齢に伴い上肢下肢ともに向上的な変化を示した。特に跳躍そのものの成否にかかわる下肢の評価は、4歳から5歳にかけて顕著な変化がみられた。また、年齢に伴い、上肢下肢ともにその動きは、動作のバランス調整から前進に貢献する動きへと変容していくことが示唆された。

神経系機能の発達が著しい幼児期には、多くの動きを獲得するとともにより複雑な動作の遂行が可能になってくる。本研究では、移動動作の中でも歩く、走るなどの習得時期の早い基本的な動作に遅れて獲得されるスキルであるホップ系動作に着目して、幼児期における動作習得度からその発達的特性を探ることを目的とした。対象は4歳から6歳の幼稚園年長、年中児、男女94名であった。課題動作は、1）ケンケン跳び（利き足のみ）、2）ケンケン跳び（左右交互に3歩ずつ）、3）両足跳び、4）ケンケンパ跳びであった。それぞれ約4m程度の距離で、規定された枠に合わせた連続跳躍を行った。すべての試行動作を観察的に評価し、学年、男女別で比較した。4課題のうち、両足跳びはほとんどの幼児が課題を遂行できたが、他の3課題では、年長の評価がより高く、また年長では女児の方が高い傾向であった。課題別にみると、左右脚を3歩ずつ交互に行うケンケン跳びがどの年齢でも他の課題に比べて習得度は著しく低く、非利き足での連続跳躍の困難さが顕著であった。ケンケンパ跳びでは、連続動作中の支持脚の切り換えや一定の動作リズムの保持などに学年差がみられた。

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the objective evaluationof preschool children＇s physical activity (PA) levels and subjective evaluation by their parents andnursery school teachers. The participants in the objective evaluation were 214 preschool children.The measures of objective PA, including step counts and time spent in light physical activity (LPA)and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), were measured using a triaxial accelerometerfor 7 consecutive days. The participants in the subjective evaluation were 214 parents and 16nursery school teachers of the preschool children. Subjective PA was assessed by a questionnairecompleted by the parents and teachers that comprised 4 categories (＂very active,＂ ＂active,＂ ＂hardly active,＂ and ＂inactive＂). We examined the differences in children＇s step counts, LPA, and MVPA according to their subjective evaluations on weekdays and weekends. On weekdays, the children who were perceived as ＂very active＂ and ＂active＂ by parentsand teachers spent significantly more time in MVPA compared to those who were perceived as＂inactive.＂ Thus, we observed a correlation between the subjective evaluations by parents andteachers and the objective PA levels that were measured using the triaxial accelerometer. Thesefindings suggest that parents and teachers could effectively detect the children＇s objective PA level, mainly on weekdays. The teachers＇ evaluations were more strongly correlated with the objective evaluations, indicating that they could evaluate the children＇s PA level relatively well. In addition, the parents and teachers evaluated the children＇s PA by primarily focusing on their high intensity activities.

近年散見される健康課題に対応するには，児童が自らの健康を保持・増進できるコンピテンスを育むためのSTEAM教育が有効だと考えられる．本研究では，国内での先行研究や実践事例を調べるとともに，体育科を中心とした教科横断型プログラム開発の可能性と課題点を整理した．その結果，児童を対象とした健康教育にSTEAM教育や教科連携という視点を加えている国内の学術研究は見当たらなかった．一方，学習指導要領解説の内容比較から小学生を対象として，健康教育に関する教科横断型プログラムが実施可能であることが示された．
