A joint research group from the Institute for Integrated Sports Medicine, Keio University School of Medicine, led by Senior Assistant Professor Yoshinori Katsumata and Professor Kazuki Sato, and Grace Imaging Inc. (CEO: Daisuke Nakajima) has met the primary endpoint for efficacy in an investigator-initiated clinical trial (protocol number: LacS-001; jRCT2032220057). The trial was conducted to verify whether the anaerobic threshold (AT)—an important indicator for exercise prescription in cardiac rehabilitation—can be estimated by continuously monitoring sweat lactate levels using a sweat lactate sensor during cardiopulmonary exercise testing in patients with heart disease.
