ZOZO Technologies, Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsuya Kubota; Representative Director and CINO: Yuki Kanayama; hereinafter "ZOZO Technologies") and the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) (Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Masahiko Inakage; hereinafter "KMD") have begun joint research on the development of IoT nodes specialized for fashion and a smartwear development environment for designing their attachment positions and functions.
This joint research will combine ZOZO Technologies' knowledge of fashion and smartwear with the Graduate School of Media Design's design thinking and customer value creation process for commercialization, aiming to clarify elements related to the design and functionality of IoT devices more specialized for fashion. Concurrently, we will advance research into software and hardware for smartwear design that is easy for fashion designers and end-users to handle.
