6th Grant

Next Generation Immunology 2020 (February 1–7, 2020) (Rehovot, Israel)

I participated in the Next Generation Immunology 2020 conference held at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, where I gave a poster presentation titled "Mucin O-glycans facilitate symbiosynthesis to maintain immune homeostasis."

This conference brought together leading researchers not only in immunology but also in related fields such as gut microbiota, metabolism, cancer, computational biology, and single-cell analysis, with the aim of pushing immunology to new frontiers. True to its purpose, the event featured an impressive lineup of symposium speakers and numerous young researchers, fostering lively discussions.

I was also impressed by the various considerations and creative measures taken to encourage active discussion and interaction, such as online question submissions, extended break times, constantly available drinks and snacks, and a spacious, open networking area.

Thanks to these efforts, I was not only able to discuss my research and interact with young researchers from other countries during the conference, but I also had the opportunity to discuss my own data with experts in the field of single-cell analysis. I am confident that these experiences will be invaluable to my future research.

This conference presentation was made possible by a research encouragement grant from Sato Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude.
