2026 Urawa Festival

On Saturday, May 9, the "Urawa Festival," a sports event for new students, was held at the Urawa-Kyoritsu Campus.

The Urawa Festival is planned and managed by the Shiba Student Association with the aim of fostering interaction among new students in the Faculty of Pharmacy. This year, 204 first-year students participated. Each class created unique matching T-shirts, and students competed in a costume relay, dodgeball, jump rope, and finally, a selected-member relay. Blessed with clear skies perfect for exercise, the students enjoyed the competitions freely under the blue sky.

Intense battles took place in each event as classes competed for the championship. In dodgeball, a special rule was introduced where a second ball was added for the class with the loudest cheering, making the support even more enthusiastic. Although faces looked nervous during the opening ceremony, everyone had bright smiles during the photo session after the closing ceremony. It was a fulfilling day where students deepened their bonds with the peers who will support them throughout their upcoming student life.
