On Thursday, September 24, 2026, the 5th Faculty of Pharmacy Inter-Laboratory Table Tennis Tournament was held at the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus gymnasium.
Organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy Table Tennis Club, this tournament is held annually to foster friendship within and across laboratories. Teams consisting of undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty members, and staff from various laboratories participate.
A total of 17 teams competed on the day, engaging in heated matches across singles and doubles. The venue was filled with enthusiastic cheering from each team and remained high-spirited throughout the event.
The highly anticipated final match became a fateful showdown between the previous champion, the Division of Drug Informatics, and the champion from two years ago, the Division of Physiological Chemistry and Metabolism.
After a nail-biting close match, the Division of Physiological Chemistry and Metabolism emerged victorious, successfully reclaiming the title. This marks the third overall victory for the Division of Physiological Chemistry and Metabolism since the tournament's inception in 2022.
At the awards ceremony, Professor Masanori Osawa, Chairperson of the Faculty of Pharmacy Table Tennis Club, presented the championship trophy.
The runner-up was the Division of Drug Informatics, and third place went to the Division of Integrated Clinical Pharmacology, which broke into the top three for the first time.
