The 4th Faculty of Pharmacy Inter-Laboratory Table Tennis Tournament Held
On Monday, September 22, 2025, the 4th Faculty of Pharmacy Inter-Laboratory Table Tennis Tournament was held at the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus gymnasium.
In the Faculty of Pharmacy, all students belong to a laboratory (department) and work on their graduation research. This tournament is organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy Table Tennis Club and features participation from undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty members from each laboratory. Every year, heated matches take place with the aim of fostering friendship within and across laboratories through table tennis. A team of Faculty of Pharmacy staff members also participates.
On the day of the event, a total of 15 teams competed in intense singles and doubles matches. The venue was filled with excitement and loud cheers from each team.
The final match was a fateful showdown between the Division of Metabolic Physiology and Chemistry, which was aiming for its third consecutive title, and the Division of Drug Informatics, which had fought a close match in the finals two years ago.
After a nail-biting, close contest, the Division of Drug Informatics emerged victorious this year, brilliantly claiming their first championship.
At the awards ceremony, Professor Masanori Osawa, Chairperson of the Faculty of Pharmacy Table Tennis Club, presented certificates, the championship trophy, and supplementary prizes. The Division of Metabolic Physiology and Chemistry finished as the runner-up, and the Division of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry took third place, marking their first time placing in the tournament.
