2023 Urawa Festival

May 11, 2023

On Saturday, May 6, the Urawa Festival, a sports day for new students, was held at the Urawa-Kyoritsu Campus for the first time in four years.

The Urawa Festival is planned and managed by the Shiba-Kyoyaku Festival Executive Committee with the aim of encouraging new students of the Faculty of Pharmacy to interact with each other across different classes. Approximately 160 first-year students participated in matching T-shirts for each class, competing for points and aiming for the championship in events such as a costume relay, team jump rope, and port ball.

Under a clear sky that felt like early summer, the event was a great success, filled with cheerful shouts of support. It was a valuable day that deepened the camaraderie within classes and across the grade, fostering relationships that will support them throughout their student life.

The event started with the costume relay.
Team jump rope, jumping in unison.
Port ball - Women's division.
Enthusiastic cheers for their classmates.
The intense back-and-forth of tail tag.
