The 2021 Graduation Research Presentation for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was held online via Zoom on Tuesday, February 8, for fourth-year students to present the results of their graduation research.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, this marked the first time the graduation research presentation was held online. Within their allotted time, students explained their research to faculty members, participated in a Q&A session, and received feedback.
Fourth-year students in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences spend a significant amount of time on their graduation research in the lab after being assigned to a laboratory in the fall semester of their third year. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, with restrictions on commuting to the university, there were times when they could not proceed with their research as planned, but each student devised ways to continue their work. Although graduation research aims for new discoveries, it often does not yield the expected results. By addressing new challenges that arise from unexpected outcomes, students' problem-solving skills are honed. This was an opportunity for them to present the results obtained through their valuable time and considerable effort, and every student gave an enthusiastic presentation.
