Summary

With the accelerated development of technology, including generative AI, we are entering an era in which humans themselves are being innovated. In this situation where the boundary between human and machine is melting away, we must thoroughly examine what is human or dignity through interdisciplinary communication, promote interdisciplinary research based on a new ethical viewpoint, and widely implement technologies that will be trusted in society. Keio University has a tradition of wisdom and virtue, which can be called "Scientific Anthropology" and a wealth of research accumulation based on this tradition. While remaining focused on this accumulation, this center will also strategically integrate cutting-edge scientific and technological research from outside Keio to promote internationally outstanding research and to foster human resources.
