Research Overview

PRANCE aims to address the dysfunction of democracy in advanced nations through research and practice grounded in the "Nameraka Society" concept (proposed by Ken Suzuki) and "Plurality" (advocated by Audrey Tang and others). In FY2026, the project will advance its three sub-projects: (1) Deliberative Democracy Practice, conducting citizen opinion collection and deliberative events; (2) Broad Listening, scaling the AntiFraud citizen-participatory fraud reporting platform and expanding civic engagement through crowdfunding; and (3) Information Integrity, deepening research on countermeasures against misinformation with reference to Taiwan's advanced practices. With the appointment of Professor Ken Suzuki as KGRI Project Professor (from June 2026), the project will strengthen its research capacity in both theory and practice.
