Summary

Keio STAR is a center dedicated to putting sustainability into practice. It envisions a desirable future as a guiding "North Star" and designs and implements actions that should be taken today by approaching from both directions: backcasting from the envisioned future and forecasting based on the wisdom of the past. In addition to sustainability studies, it incorporates futures studies, economics, entrepreneurship, and technology as core drivers, functioning as an action tank that aims to conduct research, make policy proposals, and carry out practical initiatives on three levels: Japan, Asia, and the global stage.
