Summary

Albeit the global spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the mortality rate within Japan is remains low when compared to other nations, possibly due to undetermined "factor X." This study aims to identify such factor(s), especially of non-genetic components, by comparative analysis of Japanese and its descent in Brazil, to develop non-medical strategies to contain the pandemic. This study is an international collaborative study with PUCRS, Brazil.
