On February 2, Professor Satoshi Shimizu (Faculty of Business and Commerce) and eight of his seminar students visited the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
In front of MBA students taking classes with Professors C.W. Park and E. MacInnis of the graduate school, the Keio students gave a presentation in English on their verification of the theory from the two professors' latest book, "Brand Admiration," based on data they collected and analyzed in Japan.
The presentation was followed by a lively Q&A session. Regarding the research on longevity in particular, the two professors noted that it is a major issue that developed countries will face in the future and has great potential. They requested that the students come to their classes as guest speakers. The group also exchanged views with an administrative staff member in charge of international affairs about the possibility of undergraduate students studying abroad after graduation and graduate students participating in exchange programs.
Preparations are now underway to co-host a conference in Japan with the Society of Consumer Psychology (SCP), the world's largest academic society in the field of consumer psychology, and to publish a co-authored book.
