The Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion held an awareness-raising event called "Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Week" from Friday, November 28 to Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Focusing on the three pillars of the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion—"Work-Life Balance," "Barrier-Free," and "Diversity"—we held a total of six projects that showcased the expanding efforts toward realizing an inclusive environment at Keio University.
(1) 12/3 (Tue) "Boccia x Keio Students: A Community Circle Starting from Para-sports" (All Keio Student Council Project)
Through the experience and theory of para-sports, we will explore the ideal form of diversity and community.

(4) 12/9 (Mon) Toward the Restoration of "Everyone's Forest" (Minasan Mirai Project)
How to get closer to the forests that feel both near and far. What to learn in the forest. This year, as a uniform "Forest Environment Tax" is imposed on citizens, we will rethink the forest as our own concern.

Some people may have the impression that the term "reasonable accommodation" sounds like an unfair advantage.

○ Mr. Yusuke Kikuta (4th year, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies)
Despite having difficulties with reading and writing, he began receiving accommodations using a tablet in the upper grades of elementary school and continued to a local public junior high school.
In high school entrance exams, he received accommodations such as extended time and was admitted to Keio Senior High School.

○ Mr. Otoya Hamachi (4th year, Faculty of Policy Management)
Has severe difficulty with reading. At university, he researches inclusive disaster prevention. He studies disaster prevention in general, including disaster education and evacuation guidance for public institutions, from an inclusive perspective.
At School KIKUTA, a school for children who struggle with reading and writing, he is involved from the program design stage using his perspective as an affected individual and plays a central role in operations.
He is a charismatic adult whom the children look up to.

"A Place to Voice Life's Hardships—I Didn't Actually Intend to Tell Anyone"
We invite FUNI, who leads workshops incorporating rap, for a performance and workshop to connect and dialogue with other participants about the hardships we face living in the era of diversity.

FUNI (Rapper/Poet) (Actor/Facilitator)
Formed the rap unit "KP (Korean Power, Korean Pride)" in 2002.
Conducts rap workshops to voice one's thoughts in juvenile reformatories and literacy classes.
Continues vigorous activities through rap that go beyond music, including interviews in Ryo Isobe's "Reportage Kawasaki," rap supervision for the manga "Yami Kawasaki," and social movements.
