Interpersonal relationships are often cited as a primary factor affecting workplace comfort. Because relationships both inside and outside the workplace are diverse—involving generational gaps, differing values, and variations in positions or scopes of responsibility—many people find building these relationships difficult. In this seminar, we will consider workplace relationships that affect our mental health and "how to communicate with others" to improve those relationships from a mental health perspective.

(4) Dec 9 (Mon) Toward the Restoration of "Everyone's Forest"

Approximately 70% of Japan's land is forest. In the past, Japan was abundant with the blessings of the forest, and forests were close to people's lives, but gradually both their feet and hearts grew distant. Neglected forests become harmful to people; we must protect the water sources and ecosystems that nurture life; it is a waste not to utilize the forests—even if we understand this, the reality is difficult. How can we get closer to the forests that are so near yet so far? What kind of future will a series of challenges create? What can we learn in the forest? This year, as a uniform "Forest Environmental Tax" was imposed on citizens, why not take this opportunity to think about forests as a personal matter?

(8) Friday, December 20: "Rap Performance & Workshop: A Place to Voice the Difficulties of Living—I didn't actually intend to tell anyone, but..."

In a rapidly changing world, people live while carrying the difficulties of living. They pretend not to notice their own struggles and try to keep them suppressed deep within their hearts. When they can no longer hold them back, they try to push their own difficulties onto people in even more vulnerable positions. In this way, the difficulty of living is omnipresent in the world, while at the same time being concentrated on specific individuals.

So, is the difficulty you carry only your problem? Might your struggles be connected to various issues in Japan and the world, or the situation surrounding minorities? With the help of music and the power of the venue, let's first try to put it into words and think about it.

We welcome FUNI, who leads workshops incorporating rap, for a performance and workshop to connect and dialogue with other participants about the difficulties of living that we face in the age of diversity.
