The Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion held an awareness-raising event titled "Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Promotion Week: Aiming for a Society of Mutual Respect" from Monday, March 1 to Saturday, March 20, 2021 (co-hosted by the Keio University Faculty Development (FD) Committee).
We held nine varied programs featuring distinguished guests from diverse fields. These events, which included talks, film screenings with director dialogues, seminars, and demonstrations, were designed to deepen multifaceted understanding of the three core themes of the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: "work-life balance," "accessibility," and "diversity." The week saw high participation from many Keio students, faculty, and staff from across the university, including its affiliated schools. The events also featured lively Q&A sessions, providing an opportunity to reflect on the inclusive environment at Keio University.
This time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the events were held mainly online (though some also allowed for limited in-person attendance), and we received very positive feedback in the post-event survey.
Please note that archives of these events are scheduled to be posted at a later date. They will be uploaded to the news section of the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion website, and we encourage those who are interested to watch them.
We would like to once again express our deepest gratitude to all who participated and to everyone who cooperated in making these events possible.
