Improv is theater without a script. Participants accept ideas from one another to create a single story.
Theater, which utilizes various forms of physical expression beyond just language, may hold clues for thinking about "multicultural coexistence" and how to engage with people from different backgrounds.
When people with different cultures, languages, physicalities, and ideas come together, concepts emerge that no single person could have conceived of alone. Come experience the process of chaos, full of uncertainty and the unknown, transforming into a unique shape (a work of art).
The facilitator is Kazune Matsushima, who is active in improv (improvisational) theater performances and workshops.
No prior theater experience is necessary! Rather than focusing on acting skills, we will use game activities to cultivate the foundational mindset and enjoy communication. We enthusiastically welcome your participation.
While enjoying the creation of a collaborative work with fellow participants, we will explore what it means to "live together" in a multicultural society.
