Hiroki Muto (graduate of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies; formerly of the Keio University Athletic Association Archery Team), who secured a bronze medal as part of the Japan Men's Team in the archery event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, paid a courtesy visit to Keio University President Kohei Itoh on Friday, August 20.
Vice-Presidents Keita Yamauchi and Eiji Okada (director of the Athletic Association Archery Team) were also in attendance at the meeting to celebrate the first time that Japan had secured bronze medalsin the men's team archery event at the Olympic Games.During the meeting, conversation touched upon the feelings invoked when it was apparent that they had secured the bronze; the attractiveness of the discipline of archery; and the Athletic Association Archery Team itself, with a convivial atmosphere prevailing throughout the meeting. Mr. Muto, who has had a busy daily schedule since the Olympics, discussed his eagerness that acquisition of the medal would encourage an increase in the popularity of archery.
