On March 25, 2026, the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 were announced. For this ranking, institutions are assigned a ranking in 5 Broad Subject Areas and 55 Narrow Subjects. For the 2026 edition, a total of 6,273 universities worldwide were surveyed, with 1,908 institutions assigned a position in the rankings.
Keio University ranked 100th in the world in Social Sciences & Management, one of the 5 Broad Subject Areas. This marks its highest ranking in this category since 2020.
The university also ranked in the top 200 for the following 13 Narrow Subjects, with Classics & Ancient History in the top 50.
In addition, Keio was placed 101–200 worldwide and 3rd in Japan for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, the first time the school has ever entered the rankings for this subject.
