1 Energy Conservation Goals
Reduce energy consumption intensity by 2% or more compared to FY2024 for each campus unit
*1 Energy Consumption Intensity
A numerical value calculated by converting each energy source (electricity, gas, etc.) into its caloric equivalent to total their usage, and then dividing that total by the total floor area of each campus.
2 February Results
Energy consumption decreased across all campuses, and five campuses, excluding Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus, achieved reductions exceeding the energy conservation goals.
(1) Comparison with FY2024 (Parentheses indicate energy consumption intensity)
Mita Campus: 87% (55MJ/m2)
Hiyoshi Campus: 98% (72MJ/m2)
Yagami Campus: 94% (154MJ/m 2)
Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC): 89% (58MJ/m 2)
Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus: 99% (136MJ/m 2)
信 濃 町キャンパス: 94%(210MJ/m 2)
(2) Factor Analysis
The outside air temperature in Tokyo was 1.5°C higher than the previous year, leading to a decrease in air conditioning demand at each campus. In addition, energy consumption intensity decreased due to factors such as improved CGS operation at Mita, the switch to LED lighting and improved ventilation system operation at Hiyoshi, and the amount of power generated during test runs of the solar power generation system scheduled to begin operation in FY2026 at Shonan Fujisawa.
