On November 13, Mayor Satoshi Sato of Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, visited President Kohei Itoh for an exchange of views. From Keio University, Vice-President Toshiharu Saiki also participated, and they held informal talks regarding the cooperative relationship between both parties.
Keio University has built a strong partnership with Tsuruoka City, centered around the Tsuruoka Town Campus of Keio (TTCK). This partnership spans a wide range of activities, including the promotion of advanced bioscience research, industry-government-academia collaboration with local companies utilizing research results, human resource development for local high school students and Keio students, and regional revitalization through the promotion of the bio-industry.
As it approaches its 25th anniversary in 2026, the Tsuruoka Town Campus of Keio (TTCK) will accelerate the virtuous cycle of advanced research and regional collaboration, continuing to pave the way for the future alongside the local community as an innovation hub open to the world.
