On Wednesday, October 1, Taishi Iwakiri (3rd year, Faculty of Economics), who was appointed as the Student Representative of the All Keio Student Council, and Mitsunori Uchida (3rd year, Faculty of Science and Technology), the former Student Representative, visited President Kohei Itoh.
The All Keio Student Council is a student self-governing organization aimed at improving the welfare of Keio students, and the Student Representative is elected from among candidates. This visit was held following Taishi Iwakiri's appointment as Student Representative, and opinions were exchanged regarding the nature of the All Keio Student Council and its future activities.
In the report on activities for the 2024 academic year, it was noted that in addition to strengthening the foundation of activities by establishing various committees, efforts have been made to improve dialogue with Keio students and enhance communication capabilities through the installation of suggestion boxes and the expansion of public relations using social media. It was also mentioned that new initiatives were realized through collaboration with the university. From their respective positions as Keio students and the President, they reaffirmed the significance and importance of self-governing organizations within the university. The conversation also touched upon extracurricular activities such as school festivals, and visions for further enriching student life were shared.
