On Monday, September 22, at 10:00 a.m., the 2025 September Matriculation Ceremony for undergraduate and graduate schools was held at the Mita Campus West School Building Hall. The total number of new students entering in September this year was 352 for the undergraduate faculties and the Japanese Language Program (137 in the Faculty of Economics, 7 in the Faculty of Law, 56 in the Faculty of Policy Management, 42 in the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and 110 in the Japanese Language Program) and 320 for the graduate schools (222 in Master's Programs, 75 in Doctoral Programs, and 23 in Professional Degree Programs).

The ceremony began with a report on academic affairs by Vice-President Yoshimitsu Matsuura, followed by a welcome address in English by President Kohei Itoh. After touching upon The Mission of Keio University and the youth of Yukichi Fukuzawa, he conveyed that even with modern technology and knowledge, learning takes time. He encouraged the students to take their time to learn, focus on research, engage with fellow students during their upcoming university and graduate school lives, and become individuals who take flight into the world.

Following this, Professor Toru Namerikawa of the Graduate School of Science and Technology gave a congratulatory address as the representative of the faculty and staff. Hitomi Miyazaki of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies then delivered the matriculation address on behalf of the new students. Finally, the ceremony concluded with all attendees singing the Juku-ka together with the student group Gakuyukai.

New students were seen chatting with family and friends and enjoying taking commemorative photos in front of signs and other locations on campus, appearing full of anticipation for their upcoming student lives.
