Keio Alumnus Shigeru Ishiba Elected as Prime Minister

Shigeru Ishiba has been elected as the 102nd and 103rd Prime Minister of Japan. He graduated from the Department of Law in the Keio University Faculty of Law in 1979. Prime Minister Ishiba is the fourth alumnus from Keio University to assume the position, following in the footsteps of Tsuyoshi Inukai (the 29th prime minister of Japan), Ryūtarō Hashimoto (served terms as the 82nd and 83rd prime minister), and Junichiro Koizumi (served terms as the 87th, 88th, and 89th prime minister).
